Visiting Pastors at
Chapel in the Pines

sanctuary
Our constitution established a visiting pastor program, a defining feature and mission of our church.

At Chapel in the Pines, we invite visiting pastors from all recognized Christian denominations to lead our Sunday worship.  We strive for a balanced representation and look forward to scripture-based joyful messages of God’s everlasting faithfulness, love and grace.

Our music program is rich in both leadership and talent and we are striving to connect with and involve new members of all ages and Christian traditions.

Worship service at 11:00 a.m.

At 9:30 a.m, there is an Adult Education (Forum) discussion in our Fellowship Hall that is often led by the visiting pastor.

Each Sunday, Communion is observed at the Chapel.
All are welcome who wish to share by faith.
Communion follows after the sermon and a Communion hymn and before the benediction.  Each pastor is assisted in the distribution of the Elements by our Communion Assistants at the front of the church.  The order of worship is maintained by the Chapel.  The visiting pastor may choose to wear a robe and vestments if that is their custom.

There is a two-part-compensation for preaching at the Chapel. An honorarium of $150.00 per Sunday. The second part of the compensation is the use of our on-site cabin for up to five days (Thurs. Noon - Tues. Noon).

Our visiting pastors come from multiple states as well as various communities throughout Colorado and some have been coming for several years.

If you know someone who might be interested in serving as a visiting pastor, please contact us.
